Bob Dagger, Founder and President of Harlequin Floors, complimented the judges on the difficult task of selecting Sarah Beck’s winning poster from such a high quality number of entries.

Sarah, from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London, based her poster presentation on the subject of ‘Injuries tracking in pre-vocational dancers: findings from the UK Centres for Advanced Training.’ The presentation of the ‘Marjorie Moore Student Poster Award sponsored by Harlequin Floors’ took place during the 23rd Annual Meeting of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) in Seattle, Washington, USA from October 17 – 19th.

Bob Dagger along with Jeff Russell, Assistant Professor, Athletic Training at Ohio University, presented Sarah with a glass trophy which she said would take pride of place in the Dance Science laboratory at ‘Laban!

Membership of IADMS is drawn equally from the medical and dance professions, and has grown from an initial 48 members in 1991 to over 1000 members at present world-wide, representing over 40 countries.

Harlequin Floors is a long-standing ‘Major Supporter’ of IADMS and keenly interested in supporting research that continues to inform the development of safer modern dance floors, reducing the type of dancer injuries previously associated with unsuitable floors.
