10 juillet 2019

Harlequin Floors is proud to be named official event sponsor at this year’s One Dance UK Awards.

The annual event celebrates excellence across the dance sector with twenty four awards acknowledging outstanding contribution to the UK’s dance industry.

Harlequin is also delighted to sponsor three awards:

  • Dance Science Award
  • Research in Dance Awards
  • Lifetime Achievement in Dance Education/Participation Award

Steve Green, Group Marketing Director, Harlequin Floors said:

“Harlequin has spent over 40 years helping dancers achieve their dreams.  We are proud to be part of the dance community in the UK and are honoured to help recognise the achievements of those who are making a difference to dance.

We understand the tireless commitment it takes to make a positive difference and we are enormously proud to champion those who dedicate their lives to the future of children and young people in dance by sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Harlequin has been the world leader in advanced technology flooring for over 40 years and in that time has worked closely with the dance community to develop floors that keep dancers safe by reducing the risk of injury.

Harlequin provides backing and support for dance science and research work around the world and is leading the quest for a relevant international standard for dance floors.

Therefore we are thrilled to be supporting both the Dance Science Award and Research in Dance Award.”

One Dance UK CEO Andrew Hurst said:

“We are delighted to have the support of Harlequin Floors as Event Sponsor for the One Dance UK Awards 2019.

The awards are made possible by the generous sponsorship from individuals and organisations and we are enormously grateful to all our sponsors who are supporting this exciting celebration of the dance sector.

There is no shortage of exceptional talent in the dance sector, and we have developed these awards to celebrate the unsung heroes of our sector and the remarkable contribution and commitment that is made by so many.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to nominate those who inspire them and whose work is enriching the art forms – we want to empower the sector to give recognition to those who really deserve it.”

Nominations are open until July 31st, 2019.  The shortlist and winners are selected by an independent panel of judges.
