Harlequin Floors responds to unprecedented demand with a new European online shop.

07 mai 2020

Harlequin Floors, the global leader in the manufacture, supply and installation of floors and studio equipment for the performing arts, has launched a new European online shop.  Responding to unprecedented global demand for home studio equipment, Harlequin have gone to great lengths to bring their home product range to customers across Europe.

Dancers across the world are suffering under the stringent lock down conditions, unable to practice and train to the level their profession demands.  Not having the correct equipment at home only compounds the problem.  So, dancers are turning to Harlequin, known and trusted by the world’s dance companies, to provide them with dance mats, home studio kits and ballet barres for their new home studios. The expanded Harlequin Home Studio Equipment range offers the renowned Harlequin vinyl dance floors and equipment in portable sizes.

Harlequin offices in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific have all seen the demand for their home practice range surge since the beginning of the pandemic. Harlequin’s reputation and strong loyal customer base has been built on providing the performing arts world with the best sprung and vinyl floors in the world.  Dance companies, schools, theatres, cruise ships, venues and live events rely heavily on the expertise of the Harlequin team and the product range they offer.

Since the beginning of March building and construction work has slowed, theatres and performances closed and most live events have been postponed.  However, Harlequin has worked around the clock to increase the production of their home studio range to provide key customers with a safe environment in which to train whilst at home. Dancers from the Royal Ballet, the English National Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet and Queensland Ballet, to name just a few, have all come to Harlequin for the same quality equipment to use at home as they are used to in their studios and performances.

The launch of the new European Harlequin online shop enables dancers from across Europe to purchase much needed flooring and equipment, which is distributed from Harlequin’s manufacturing and warehousing facility near Liège, Belgium.

Guy Dagger CEO of Harlequin said “The Harlequin team have really come together to make this happen.  Working from home has had its constraints but it just goes to show that when the determination is there to get something done we have been able to do it.  I am very proud of everyone’s efforts and delighted with our new European shop”.
