Scottish Ballet holds on to its Liberty Panels
With the enchanting winter production of Hansel and Gretel at a close, Scottish Ballet struggled to say farewell to their previously on-hire Liberty panels, that were used on stage for the production, underneath Harlequin Cascade vinyl. Instead they decided to keep hold of the panels, which they plan to take on tour with them along with their Harlequin Cascade vinyl, for future productions.
The production of Hansel and Gretel, which ran from December 2016 to February 2017 received sterling reviews from both the audience and the press with The Sunday Times commenting “the designs are gorgeous: an array of luscious costumes and versatile sets”.
The Scottish Ballet’s Liberty panels will go on to be used for all of the company’s upcoming 2017 productions, including festive favourite, The Nutcracker which will start at the beginning of December.
